Fashion designer, Jaga Buyan draws influence from her native land of Mongolia when designing for her line Duuya, a collection of hand painted pure silk and linen garments. Jaga's designs are best described as dishabille. The look, style and feel of her clothes present an air of cool nonchalance, sophistication and femininity, perfect for the modern woman. Her style is delicate, subtle and raw to the eye and touch.

Born in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar, Jaga grew up in a household that encouraged free thought and artistic values. At the age of 8, Jaga started sewing and making her own pieces out of her mom's leftover fabrics. She had a dream of learning foreign languages and other cultures, besides making dresses. Driven by a sense exploration, an inherent Mongolian trait, she packed her bags and in 1999 and moved to America.

Jaga always loved to bring out the inner beauty of people by styling them through clothes. "I want women to wear luxury yet casual, timeless pieces and feel feminine and sensual in them. It's really great pleasure when my pieces make my clients feel that way."
